Chaos - Paintings during the storm that passed through my life

I feel that because my work can be so personal at times, the viewer must understand where it's coming from. In the last couple of years it has come from great challenges. Everything happened at the same time, financial issues, emotional issues and worst of all, I was diagnosed with cancer. The human will to survive can be something amazing. When life gets so out of hand and so chaotic it seems like sooner or later everything falls into place, exactly where it needs to be and what is left are tremendous life lessons, a deep appreciation of the important things and a newer and better perspective.

The Symmetry in Asymmetry is about that, I truly believe, now more than ever that there is a plan. Sometimes when I was in the middle of my chaos, sitting there cursing at God for having cancer, for being in so much pain, both physical and emotional, not knowing what was going to happen to me, nothing made sense, it just felt like torment and I asked why? I now understand why, there had to be a transformation, I'm still learning, I'm still understanding but now all the pieces are falling into place.

There weren't a lot of new paintings in 2014, but these are the ones finished during that time.
