The Scream - New Painting

I began this painting making imprints with modelling paste and seeing where it would take me, it all came together a couple of weeks ago when things were complicated but there were also good things going on. I felt frustrated but at the same time hopeful. I started building the color wheels and once I placed that big black dot, the title came to me and I remembered Munch's scream, I kind of channeled his feelings at that moment and it just felt right. On the side I wrote survive and prosper because it reflected how I was feeling.

This is a time of change and change is good, it allows us to evolve and move forward, like the color wheels. We may not always understand why things happen a certain way, but hope provides us the comfort to believe in a better tomorrow.
