DANCING ORBS - New Series - Works on Paper

This new series is all about music and fun, as a Latin-American woman, I cannot live without music, it plays an important part in my creative process and it is the main focus in this series of works on paper.

Each work started with a dance between myself, the pencil and the paper, forming dynamic rhythmic lines that evolved into gracious shapes inside the orbs. Many of the titles are related to the songs that were playing or my feelings at that given moment.

This was the first one I completed, the title has more to do with my mental state at the moment, I felt a strong need to take action and shape my own future:)

 

 

 

INNER CHILD

I have to say I really enjoyed creating this one, when I finished the drawing portion I checked the title of the song I was listening to and it's title was "Inner Child" which is perfect for this piece!

The title is short for the song "I'm sexy and I know it!"

This piece has a double meaning, besides what you can conclude from the image, it also refers to my little dog Perla, who is always with me in the studio and seems to enjoy the music as much as I do.
