Interest in Latin American Art Increases
In 2009 PINTA the Contemporary and Modern Latin American art fair has proven the increasing interest in latin american art. This year it had the participation of 15 New York Galleries and it's sales to Museums and private art collectors prove it's importance in the art market. In total their were 60 galleries from the United States, Europe and Latin America.
It's a relatively new fair, but each year keeps getting stronger, it has exceeded expectations this year and their goal is to take it to London.
Latin American art has definitely made a footprint in the art world. The work is high quality and the culture and social issues provide a colorful yet powerful combination.
